Team Lead

About the role

The Team Lead assists in supervising and managing all day-to-day store operations while ensuring 100% compliance with all established Company policies and procedures. Provides leadership, guidance, and training to the store staff under the direction of the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager. In their absence, the Team Lead assumes full responsibility for all store operations. This role may be filled by a full or part-time management employee.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and welfare of employees and customers.
• Create, establish, and maintain an excellent customer shopping experience.
• Maintain and reinforce current service level standards.
• Provide service training and leadership to staff members.
• Manage customer issues with urgency and to customer satisfaction.
• Oversee all POS terminal transactions in accordance with policy and procedure, including:
  • Sales, discounts, and refunds
  • Loyalty programs
  • Open/closing procedures
• Inventory control responsibilities, including:
  • Shipping and receiving
  • Price management (price changes, markdowns, etc.)
  • Handling singles and damaged merchandise
  • Conducting physical inventory
• Sales floor merchandising and visual presentation, including:
  • Merchandise placement
  • Sales floor maintenance and housekeeping
  • Promotional event directions, materials, and signage
• Payroll control responsibilities, including:
  • Scheduling
  • Payroll budget compliance
  • Time and attendance tracking
• Training and development of direct reports, including:
  • Utilization of all available training tools
  • Consistent reinforcement of customer service standards
• Loss prevention responsibilities, including adherence to all policies and procedures for protecting and controlling Company assets.
• Work toward a complete understanding of managing all day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

• An approved background check.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Managerial and organizational skills.

Principal Working Relationships

Customers, Sales Associates, Store Management, District/Regional Manager, and Store Operations and Training personnel.

Pay

$12.00 - $15.60 hourly.
