Responsibilities
- Coordinate the daily operations of assigned classes.
- Plan, present, and evaluate educational and recreational activities for childcare in a safe environment.
- Work directly with children and parents daily to provide quality customer service.
- Observe children’s interests and collaborate with other teachers to develop creative, engaging curriculum ideas.
- Communicate with parents daily, sharing children’s latest adventures and achievements through mobile apps and personal discussions.
- Engage with other childcare professionals to continue growing in your profession.
Qualifications
- High school diploma is required.
- Associate or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preferred.
- 1-2 years of previous experience preferred.
- Ability to develop relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and faculty members.
- Ability to calmly address stressful situations professionally while multitasking.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. for handling children, ensuring safety, and managing emergency situations.
- For Infant and Young Toddler Teachers: must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib.
- Must meet background check eligibility requirements.
