About the Role
Betty's Babies Child Care & Learning Center is hiring for multiple positions: Assistance Teachers (including bilingual teachers), a Cook, and an Administrator. We are looking for loving, kind, and dependable individuals with a passion for working with children, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic. Open availability Monday through Friday is required.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Director in planning and implementing the daily program.
- Supervise the classroom by helping children think creatively, solve problems independently, and respect themselves and others.
- Spark imagination, build self-esteem, and help children discover new things each day.
- Implement curriculum, including lesson planning and teaching through play.
- Support early literacy: language development, phonological awareness, and alphabetic knowledge.
- Apply reading research in daily activities.
- Help with meals and snacks, modeling table manners.
- Maintain a clean, orderly classroom and school.
- For Cook position: Prepare meals and snacks for children.
- For Administrator position: Oversee daily operations and support staff.
Requirements
- 18 years or older.
- High School Diploma or GED (must provide documentation).
- Must pass a background check and fingerprinting (or be willing to complete them).
- Must have CPR & First Aid certification or be willing to obtain it.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds.
- Open availability Monday through Friday.
- Previous daycare experience preferred, but willing to train motivated individuals.
Skills
- Curriculum implementation and lesson planning.
- Teaching through play-based learning.
- Early literacy and language development.
- Classroom management and supervision.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual skills (for teaching positions) are a plus.
Pay
$9–$15 an hour, based on experience. Pay is bi-weekly.
Schedule
6:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Positions include two-year-old, three-year-old, infant classrooms, and floater roles.
