This is a Career Ladder position. When filling available positions, consideration will be given to the selected applicant's education and experience. Position may spend 15 nights away per month. Travel 25%.

Job Duties

  • Feature Development: Write clean, maintainable Java code using Jakarta EE/Java EE specifications (EJB, CDI, JAX-RS) within VS Code.
  • Database Programming: Author, optimize, and maintain complex T-SQL queries, views, and stored procedures in Microsoft SQL Server.

  • Testing and Quality: Write JUnit tests and perform root-cause debugging for runtime exceptions within the Payara environment.

Pay

  • Programmer I: $4,263.19 - $4,357.26
  • Programmer II: $4,801.16 - $4,908.68
  • Programmer III: $5,425.35 - $5,556.51
  • Once the candidate meets one year of service as a Programmer III there are 3 retention steps considered annually based on eligibility:
    • Step I: $5800.45 - $5945.46
    • Step 2: $6206.48 - $6361.64
    • Step 3: $6640.93 - $6806.98
