Retiree salary will be 2.5% less than the posted salary. Outside applicants will be required to submit to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment. This position does not have access to critical infrastructure in accordance with the Governor's executive order GA-48.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, developing, revising, and implementing human resources policies, procedures, activities, and operations.
  • Assist in training and advising OIG staff on issues, rules, policies, and regulations regarding human resources management.
  • Maintain human resources automated systems, files, and records.
  • Review, screen, and evaluate applicant qualifications; refer qualified applicants to the appropriate hiring authority.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews for the selection process; complete related paperwork.
  • Provide assistance on compensation, leave provisions, and salary administration matters.
  • Assist commissioned and non-commissioned employees with benefits and other human resources programs and services.

Requirements

  • Experience in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of human resources management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Skill to coordinate with other staff, departments, officials, agencies, organizations, and the public.
  • Knowledge of agency human resources policies and procedures.
  • Experience working with law enforcement officials.
