About the role

This position supports the Human Resources department by providing information to applicants and employees, maintaining records, completing projects and tasks, and resolving a broad variety of employee issues. Responsibilities typically span no more than two HR disciplines.

  • Evaluate priorities and execute tasks in a changing environment, escalating concerns as needed
  • Act as a team or committee member for Fluor-sponsored groups or portfolios
  • Support and perform routine tasks for less complex HR projects
  • Answer customer questions and follow up on related tasks
  • Coordinate and complete HR administrative documents
  • Analyze and recommend solutions to problems of varying complexity
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Accredited four-year degree or global equivalent in an applicable field of study and two years of work-related experience, or a combination of education and directly related experience totaling six years if non-degreed (some locations may have additional or different qualifications)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
  • Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the role
  • Ability to learn and apply local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
  • Strong attention to detail and time-effective work habits

Preferred Qualifications

  • Accredited four-year degree or global equivalent in HR, Psychology, Education, Business, Industrial Relations, Finance, or a related field, with significant HR experience
  • Understanding of core HR concepts, policies, and administrative procedures
  • Good knowledge of HR policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills for complex issues
  • Ability to handle confidential company and employee information discreetly
  • Experience providing consultation to managers and HR staff
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient computer and software skills (word processing, email, spreadsheets, electronic presentations)
  • Broad knowledge of internal database applications for HR

Pay

Salary range: $53,500.00 – $99,500.00. The market rate for this role is typically at the mid-point of the range, with final salary determined by candidate qualifications, relevant experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions.
