Tax Experienced Manager, Transfer Pricing
Job Summary
The Tax Experienced Manager, Transfer Pricing advises clients on transfer pricing implications, recommends actions, and ensures compliance with regulations. This role involves marketing, business development, and representing clients in tax disputes.
Job Duties
- Completes financial analysis of intercompany transactions and evaluates industry data to document appropriate pricing policies.
- Identifies research needs and frames issues for investigation.
- Determines project scope, budgets, and timelines, and drafts/presents presentations to clients.
- Affirms clients' compliance with transfer pricing requirements and conducts year-end reviews.
- Applies IRS and OECD guidelines, ensures tax engagement letters are adopted, and manages engagement to meet metrics.
- Represents clients in tax authority disputes and utilizes expert resources as needed.
- Develops and implements transfer pricing methods for specific situations, analyzes client business data, and applies new regulations.
- Prepares planning and documentation reports, reviews tax provisions, and collaborates with Assurance professionals.
- Pitches service capabilities to clients, prepares proposals, and creates training materials.
- Uses tax research databases and software to complete tasks and manages a team of professionals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field, required.
- Advanced degree preferred.
- Six or more years of prior experience, required.
- Experience working within a transfer pricing practice, required.
- Experience supervising professionals, required.
- Experience with tax provisions and transfer pricing, preferred.
- Software proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Exposure to tax research databases and/or other tax-related software beneficial.
