Tax Accountant - Retail

Role Overview The TurboTax Retail Expert is responsible for providing in-person tax advice, preparation, and support at retail or flagship locations. They serve as trusted advisors, helping customers navigate complex tax situations, maximize refunds, and plan for future financial goals. The role involves actively engaging with the community to attract new clients, build long-term relationships, and promote TurboTax products and services. Key Responsibilities Deliver personalized tax consultation and full-service tax return preparation, handling diverse tax scenarios.Facilitate discovery sessions, identify deductions, and offer tax planning advice.Create an exceptional customer experience through professionalism and genuine support.Actively represent TurboTax in the community, engaging prospects and supporting local marketing efforts.Build and maintain a loyal client base, fostering trust and long-term relationships. Qualifications & Skills Active EA, CPA, or attorney license with at least 3 years of tax preparation experience.Proficient in filing federal and state individual tax returns using professional software.Strong knowledge of tax laws, Circular 230 familiarity, and ability to obtain relevant licenses.Excellent communication, customer service, and community engagement skills.Comfortable working onsite, with a flexible schedule, and in a retail environment.Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus.
