Tax Accountant - Retail

Role Overview The TurboTax Retail Expert is a customer-facing tax professional responsible for providing in-person tax advice, preparation, and support at retail or flagship locations. They serve as trusted advisors, leveraging tax expertise to handle a range of tax situations, maximize refunds, and offer personalized guidance to help clients achieve financial goals. The role involves building long-term customer relationships, growing the local client base, and representing TurboTax within the community. Key Responsibilities Offer hands-on tax preparation and advice for simple to complex tax scenarios.Conduct discovery sessions to identify deductions, minimize liabilities, and plan for future taxes.Create an exceptional customer experience through professionalism and genuine assistance.Engage with the community as a proactive ambassador, promoting accessibility to tax services.Utilize marketing support and software tools to attract and retain clients. Qualifications & Skills Active EA, CPA, or attorney license with substantial tax preparation experience and knowledge of tax law.Minimum of 3 years of experience preparing 30+ federal and state tax returns annually.Valid PTIN and willingness to obtain necessary state licenses.Comfortable working onsite, with strong communication skills, especially bilingual abilities (English/Spanish) a plus.Entrepreneurial, self-driven, with excellent customer service and tech proficiency.Willingness to wear a uniform and work in a retail environment.
