The Role

The Talent Development Specialist supports the design, development, and delivery of learning solutions that foster employee development and a culture of learning within the SAM Companies.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the assessment, design, development, delivery, and evaluation of learning solutions for SAM learning initiatives
  • Partner with the Talent Development team and Talent Development Manager to support and prioritize learning projects
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather information and translate technical or operational content into engaging experiences
  • Create instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced learning content using adult learning principles and instructional design best practices
  • Facilitate training sessions and learning events using interactive and learner-focused delivery methods
  • Utilize learning technologies and AI-enabled tools to support content development, learner engagement, and training efficiency
  • Support ongoing maintenance and administration of the Learning Management System (LMS), including course setup, curriculum updates, reporting, and learner communications
  • Maintain a travel schedule of approximately 10%

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Learning and Development with demonstrated expertise in design, development, facilitation, and emerging technologies including AI-assisted learning tools
  • Proven proficiency in creating engaging learning content using Articulate, and other advanced content development tools (PowerPoint, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite, Audio, Video)
  • Able to design and deliver medium to large scale training programs in the adult learning environment
  • Ability to learn complex software, systems, and processes very quickly and independently (we use ClearCo for our LMS)
  • Strong communication, organization, and project management skills
  • Comfortable collaborating with employees at all levels of the organization, and highly interested in the professional development of others

Pay

Salary Maximum USD $80,000.00/per year
Salary Minimum USD $70,000.00/per year

This position can be remote or on-site at any of our office locations
