In this role, you will help lead our efforts in identifying, recruiting, and retaining top-tier talent. This position is essential to advancing our strategic business goals by ensuring we have the right people in the right places to drive performance and innovation across the university. Our immediate need is for a Talent Specialist I.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications for a Talent Specialist I:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and one full year of HR related experience.

Minimum qualifications for a Talent Specialist II:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and three full years of full cycle recruiting experience.

Minimum qualifications for a Talent Specialist III:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and five full years of full cycle recruiting experience.

Compensation and classification is based on the analyses of the above qualifications during the recruitment process.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Excellent customer service orientation.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of state and federal policy in recruiting, hiring and employment.
  • Track record of personal accountability, integrity, and proven organizational skills.
  • Strong written communication, analytical, interpersonal, customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of HR systems including Workday or other HCM application, background investigation and credential verification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or similar field of study.
  • More than one year of experience of recruiting, screening, interviewing, and hiring activities.
  • Experience coordinating recruiting activities through HR representatives in the field.
