Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Talent Acquisition Partner I to join our Human Resources team based in Kinston, NC.

About the Role

The Talent Acquisition Partner II is responsible for sourcing, screening, and recommending candidates for Airbus roles at all levels of the organization—entry level through senior leadership. This role develops and deploys advanced sourcing strategies, including cold calling and network development. The successful candidate will understand, model, and represent the Airbus employment value proposition and published Airbus Values.

Key responsibilities include building applicant pools, establishing trust and partnerships with hiring managers, identifying potential "fit" through effective interviewing and testing, administering the interviewing and onboarding process, and ensuring a positive new hire experience. All activities must comply with Equal Employment Opportunity laws, HIPAA, ERISA, and other relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with leaders, hiring managers, and the HR team on position descriptions, requisition creation, compensation, and sourcing strategies.
  • Deliver high-quality shortlists of candidates through resume screening, phone screens, interviews, and final recommendations.
  • Post and update job openings across various platforms, including internet/intranet sites, colleges, social networks, community boards, and staffing partners.
  • Promote Airbus referral programs and internal opportunities to managers and employees.
  • Maintain the applicant tracking system, recruiting reports, and other staffing administration functions.
  • Respond promptly to internal and external applicant inquiries and requests.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with managers to assess the effectiveness of recruiting efforts.
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
  • Develop networks and partnerships to build a pipeline of candidates and enhance the Airbus employer brand.
  • Collaborate with hiring teams on sourcing strategies for assigned roles.
  • Partner with Business HR leaders to anticipate and prepare for upcoming talent acquisition needs.
  • Represent Airbus at recruiting events (e.g., college job fairs), provide company and job information, and interview applicants.
  • Deliver presentations at colleges, attend student group meetings, and raise awareness of Airbus as an employer.
  • Support the identification and alignment of potential recruiting events to connect with appropriate candidate pools.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive talent acquisition, candidate sourcing, and interviewing experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Strong understanding of staffing principles, laws, and procedures, including US Employment and Labor Laws.
  • Knowledge of the regional labor market and experience with online/social media recruiting.
  • Proven ability to communicate and effectively "sell" an organization’s value proposition.
  • Excellent oral/written communication, marketing, presentation, interviewing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-starter with excellent time management, multitasking, and organizational skills.
  • High level of integrity, trustworthiness, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and ability to propose new ideas and solutions.

Skills

  • Fluent written and spoken English; strong written, presentation, and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and other candidate sourcing tools.
  • Preferred: French, German, or Spanish language skills.

Schedule

Hybrid schedule: 4 days onsite, 1 day remote.

Physical Requirements

  • Vision: Ability to see and read computer screens, documents, reports, and engineering drawings.
  • Hearing: Ability to participate in conversations in person, via teleconference or phone, and hear safety warnings or alarms on the production floor.
  • Speaking: Ability to communicate in conversations, meetings, and presentations.
  • Equipment Operation: Ability to operate office equipment (e.g., computers, telephones, copiers, fax machines) and production tools (e.g., hydraulic lifts).
  • Carrying: Ability to carry documents, tools, drawings, and electronic equipment up to 30 lbs/14 kg.
  • Lifting: Rarely lift items up to 30 lbs/14 kg.
  • Pushing/Pulling: Rarely push or pull small office furniture, equipment, or tools.
  • Sitting: Ability to sit for extended periods during meetings or computer work.
  • Squatting/Kneeling: Ability to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items on low shelving.
  • Standing: Ability to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor.
  • Travel: Up to 15% domestic travel, including short-notice trips.
  • Walking: Ability to walk through office and production areas, including uneven surfaces.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Required for administrative roles (specific PPE provided as needed).

This position is open to candidates able to work in the US without current or future visa sponsorship. Employment is at-will.
