Technical Management and Systems Integration
- Serve as the lead technical authority for the lab, designing and maintaining the multi-enclave (IL2 to IL6) data architecture.
- Lead the hands-on technical integration of new sensors (UAS, HAPS, ground, etc.), working with vendors to ensure compliance with the Army's Integrated Sensor Architecture (ISA) standard.
- Manage the lab's cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google) in coordination with the Enterprise Cloud Management Agency (ECMA).
- Install, configure, integrate, and operate middleware and data fabric software to enable data flow across disparate systems.
- Collaborate with Corps entities to ensure that sensor data is retrievable and presentable in a manner consistent with supporting a commander’s visualization on Army command and control systems.
- Develop and test Cross-Domain Solutions (CDS) to ensure secure data transfer between security enclaves.
- Integrate machine learning and large-language models with sensor data.
Project Management and Stakeholder Engagement
- Develop and maintain the overall project plan, budget, and schedule for the SID-FL.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all lab activities, briefing senior leaders within III Armored Corps, DAMI-ST, and relevant PEOs on progress, risks, and results.
- Cook up and de-conflict activities between a wide range of stakeholders, including military personnel (intelligence formations, targeteers, operations personnel, and the communications community), commercial vendors, and academic partners.
- Plan and execute "Soldier Touch Point" events, validation exercises, and technology demonstrations.
- Implement and maintain laboratory protocols and both safety and regulatory standards.
- Be prepared to travel (up to 10% per year) in support of stakeholder engagement opportunities.
Test, Evaluation, and Doctrinal Development
- Design and oversee a rigorous test and evaluation methodology to capture empirical data on sensor and software performance (e.g., latency, accuracy, bandwidth usage).
- Manage the lab's AI/ML proving ground, working with data scientists to test, train, and validate algorithms on real-world data feeds.
- Collaborate with analysts and operators to develop and document new Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) for employing integrated sensor and data capabilities.
Reporting and Knowledge Management
- Synthesize test results and operational feedback into comprehensive reports and data-driven acquisition recommendations.
- Present insights in a compelling and accessible manner using data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Palantir’s Foundry platform.
- Establish and maintain a knowledge repository for all tested systems, integration guides, and TTPs developed in the lab.
