Position Overview
Securitas is seeking a motivated and technically skilled Systems Engineer 2 to join our team in Plano, TX. This position plays a critical role in supporting, maintaining, and optimizing security technology systems while ensuring reliable performance and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong technical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot physical security and technology systems.
- Support access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and related security platforms.
- Maintain accurate documentation, system records, and service reports.
- Assist with project implementation, commissioning, and system integration activities.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, client requirements, and industry best practices.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end users and stakeholders.
- Participate in on-call support or after-hours activities when required.
Qualifications
- Required: Associate degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience supporting technology, security, networking, or electronic systems.
- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and basic network infrastructure.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred
- Experience with access control, video management, CCTV, or physical security systems.
- Knowledge of IP networking concepts, including TCP/IP, switches, routers, and network troubleshooting.
- Industry certifications or manufacturer certifications are a plus.
- Experience in a customer-facing technical support role.
