About the role
Combine your technical skills with big picture thinking to make an impact in simulation training environments for the United States military. Design and develop systems for mission-critical network systems, and evolve them with advanced technology solutions.
Responsibilities
- Manage complex projects from initiation to completion, while coordinating with cross-functional teams
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers
- Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of critical enterprise IT infrastructure, including server, storage, virtualization, and cloud environments
- Develop and maintain strategic roadmaps for systems technology evolution
- Assist with establishing and enforcing system configuration, change management, and security policies across the server landscape
- Travel up to 25% of the time to support mission-critical network systems
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering
- Experience managing complex projects from initiation to completion, while coordinating with cross-functional teams
- Experience with mentoring and providing technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers
- Ability to lead the design, architecture, and implementation of critical enterprise IT infrastructure, including server, storage, virtualization, and cloud environments
- Ability to develop and maintain strategic roadmaps for systems technology evolution
- Ability to assist with establishing and enforcing system configuration, change management, and security policies across the server landscape
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Top Secret clearance
Skills
- Experience working in the special operations community
- Experience architecting and implementing high-availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) solutions to ensure maximum system uptime and business continuity
- Experience driving automation initiatives across system deployment, monitoring, and maintenance using scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python
- Experience performing capacity planning and performance monitoring to proactively address potential bottlenecks and recommend appropriate scaling solutions
- Experience conducting root cause analysis (RCA) for major incidents, and implementing corrective and preventive measures to minimize future disruptions
- Experience with expert-level administration and troubleshooting of virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V
- Knowledge of enterprise storage and backup solutions such as SAN, NAS, object storage, Veeam, and Commvault
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and identity management systems

Pay
$86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD)
Schedule
Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen’s benefit programs. Individuals that do not meet the threshold are only eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits.
