Surgical Scheduler

About the role

We’re looking for a dedicated Surgical Scheduler to join our team and help us continue delivering the level of care our patients and families deserve.

Responsibilities

• Review patient insurance information and coordinate with insurance companies to obtain pre-authorization.
• Respond to insurance company requests for information in a timely manner.
• Ensure all necessary paperwork such as consent forms are completed and on file.
• Schedule and ensure completion and clearance of all required tests prior to surgery.
• Provide patients with thorough information and instructions to prepare them for surgery.
• Clock in and out of office time as needed.
• Coordinate surgical schedules with physician in office time.
• Works with other office staff to coordinate physician availability.
• Aids in rescheduling patients and ensuring timely follow-up.
• Maintains medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology required.
• Minimum of 3 years in physician practice experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.

Pay

Salary Range: $18.00-$27.45/hr based on experience and qualifications.
