SUPPORT NURSE - LPN - OAK FOREST HEALTH & REHAB CENTER
Job Description
Aid in ensuring top-quality patient care by supporting nursing personnel, including the charge nurse and Director of Nursing, during your designated work hours. You may be required to cover shifts as needed. Provide resident care according to the Nursing Practice Act, under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. Delegate tasks to non-licensed nursing personnel and oversee their performance. Collect and analyze Quality Assurance data, assist with infection control measures, and prepare resident assessments. Report any potential performance issues to the Registered Nurse for further evaluation. Assist with emergency situations and perform CPR as necessary. Coordinate with other healthcare professionals and notify physicians of changes or emergencies involving patients.
Job Requirements
- High school graduate
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a current, valid license in North Carolina
- CPR certified annually
- Participation in in-service training and staff meetings
- Decision-making skills regarding nursing and unit issues
- Ability to handle stress and solve problems effectively
- Compliance with personnel, department, and facility policies and procedures
- Physical ability to manage medication and treatment carts
