About the role
The job is for a Shift Manager position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee. This franchisee is a separate company and employer from McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is responsible for employment matters such as hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Lead shifts weekly, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience.
- Provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to maintain Quality, Service, and Cleanliness standards.
- Perform various tasks including planning for shifts, monitoring performance, ensuring compliance with McDonald’s standards, managing safety and security, and communicating with the next Shift Manager.
- Meet targets during shifts and assist in meeting departmental goals.
- Manage food safety, inventory, daily maintenance, cleanliness, crew, quality food production, exceptional customer service, safety, and security.
- Train crew members.
Requirements
- Previous leadership experience, preferably within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
- Positive team player with a flexible schedule and passion for working in the fast-paced McDonald’s environment.
- Must be 18 years or older to be a manager in corporate-owned restaurants.
