SUPPLEMENTAL ONLY- ATHLETIC COACH-Assistant Cheer
POSITION GOAL
The Head Coach and Assistant Coach positions are responsible for leading and managing athletic teams, providing instruction, and ensuring the safety and welfare of participants.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- The Head Coach must hold a standard high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Florida Educator Certificate.
- The Assistant Coach must hold a standard high school diploma or equivalent and a knowledge of the activity and the ability to impart this knowledge.
- Both positions require computer skills as required for the position.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Preference is given to candidates with additional experience in coaching and leadership roles.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Candidates should be able to perform physical activities typical of their position, including but not limited to running, lifting, and handling equipment.

Contact with participants, parents, other coaches, and administrative staff is essential for the success of the program.
CERTIFICATIONS
Certification requirements include obtaining an Athletic Coaching Certificate from the Florida Department of Education for the Head Coach.
COMPETENCIES
Effective communication, teamwork, and adaptability are key competencies for both the Head Coach and Assistant Coach.
