Position Goal
The Head Coach and Assistant Coach positions are available at Plantation High School.
Essential Performance Responsibilities
- Develop and implement coaching strategies and practices aligned with the school's educational goals.
- Provide daily supervision and instruction to students in accordance with state and federal laws, including Title IX.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and emergency procedures.
- Collaborate with other staff members to promote student development and academic success.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
The Head Coach must have:
- A standard high school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid Florida Educator Certificate.
- The ability to impart knowledge of the sport.
The Assistant Coach must have:
- A standard high school diploma or equivalent.
- A knowledge of the activity and the ability to impart this knowledge.
- Computer skills as required for the position.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Prior coaching experience is preferred but not required.
SIGNIFICANT CONTACTS-frequency, contact, purpose
Contact with students, parents, and other school personnel is frequent and essential for the success of the program.
Physical Requirements
Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting, carrying, and moving equipment.
Terms of Employment
This is a temporary/substitute position.
Skills
Knowledge of the sport/activity, ability to teach, computer skills, and collaboration skills are important.
Competencies
Effective communication, teamwork, and leadership skills are valued.
Certifications
A valid Florida Educator Certificate is required for the Head Coach.
