SUPPLEMENTAL ONLY- ASSISTANT CHEERLEADING (COACH)

POSITION GOAL

The Head Coach and Assistant Coach positions are responsible for leading and managing athletic teams, providing instruction, and ensuring the safety and welfare of participants.

ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement training programs for athletes.
• Manage team logistics including scheduling practices and games.
• Provide daily supervision and coaching during practices and games.
• Ensure compliance with all rules and regulations of the sport and governing bodies.
• Maintain communication with parents, students, and other staff members regarding team activities and progress.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Standard high school diploma or GED.
• Valid Florida Educator Certificate for the Head Coach.
• Knowledge of the sport and ability to teach it.
• Computer skills as required for the position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Experience coaching at the high school level.
• Previous administrative experience in athletics.
• Leadership and motivational skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to perform physical activities such as running, lifting, and carrying equipment. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

CERTIFICATIONS

• Florida Educator Certificate for the Head Coach.
