SUPPLEMENTAL ONLY- COMPETITIVE CHEERLEADING (ASSISTANT COACH)
Position Goal
The Head Coach and Assistant Coach positions are available at Plantation High School.
Essential Performance Responsibilities
- Develop and implement coaching strategies and practices aligned with the school's mission and values.
- Provide daily instruction and supervision to students in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Collaborate with other staff members to enhance student learning experiences.
- Maintain accurate records and reports as required by the school administration.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
The Head Coach must hold a standard high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid Florida Educator Certificate. The Assistant Coach must have a standard high school diploma or equivalent, and a knowledge of the activity along with computer skills as required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Experience coaching the specific sport/activity.
- Previous administrative experience in a similar setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements
Candidates should be able to:
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Travel to various locations as needed.
- Stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
- Handle physical demands of coaching activities.
Terms of Employment
This is a non-exempt position with temporary/substitute status. The position is open until filled.
Skills
Knowledge of the sport/activity, ability to impart knowledge, and strong organizational and communication skills are preferred.
Competencies
Ability to work collaboratively, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to professional standards.
Certifications
A valid Florida Educator Certificate is required for the Head Coach position.
