SUPERVISOR, RECEIVING
Position Summary
The Supervisor coordinates the staff responsible for goods receipt, staging product, and data entry through ERP system (SAP). Tasks include dispatching local pickups and delivering goods in a timely manner while maintaining accurate product identification and traceability to purchase orders (PO). The Supervisor also resolves constraints in real-time, improving processes with safety, quality, and productivity in mind. Issues are escalated to Receiving Management when necessary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist Receiving Manager by identifying applicable work procedures, preparing work schedules, and expediting workflow
- Issue verbal warnings and write-ups when necessary
- Examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures for Administrators, Clerks & Drivers
- Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of Administrators, Clerks and Drivers
- Delegate work to level III leads
- Maintain productivity of Administrators, Clerks and Drivers
- Assist employees with process issues to resolution in a timely manner
- Keep track of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and matrix for the Receiving department
- Assists in training and coaching for Administrators, Clerks & Drivers
- Provide customer service to Supply Chain, Receiving Inspection, and Inventory personnel
Skills and Requirements
- Attendance and punctuality are essential job duties
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- 5+ years of working experience in complex warehouse and distribution environments, preferably in the aerospace or military industry
- Must be able to speak, read, and write in English proficiently
- Basic math skills
- Strong data entry skills
- Proficient use of MS Office and ERP systems (SAP experience preferred)
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented
- Able to lift 35 lbs
- Safely receive and unload freight manually or with equipment such as forklift or pallet jack
- Adherence to Marvin Engineering Co., Inc. policies and procedures
- May be required to work overtime
Work Environment
The office / warehouse environment is described as typical.
Salary Range
Base Salary Range (Inglewood only): $70,000 to $90,000. Salary is based on experience, skills, and education.
