About the role
As a Receiving Supervisor at StandardAero, you’ll oversee the daily operations of the receiving and stockroom functions within an FAA-regulated MRO facility, and assist when needed in shipping functions as direct back up for the Logistics Manager.
Responsibilities
- Lead and train receiving and supply chain staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, warehouse procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Supervise the Supply Chain Stockroom Clerks performing responsibilities in both Central Stores and the Cage.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in accordance with OSHA and MRO industry standards.
- Ensure proper receiving inspection coordination with Quality Control, including verification of required certifications (8130, C of C, etc.) and traceability documentation.
- Oversee accurate data entry into inventory and ERP systems (e.g., Quantum, SAP), including stock location, part condition, and serial number tracking.
- Support internal and external audits (FAA, customer, AS9110, etc.) with relevant documentation and process knowledge.
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to turnaround time, accuracy, and compliance; implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Direct back up to the Logistics Manager, able to Supervise and coordinate all outgoing shipments.
- Manage the preparation and packaging of outgoing shipments according to aviation standards.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or GED required; an Associate's degree or higher in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations.
- 1+ year in a supervisory or lead role.
- 1+ years of experience reading and interpreting shipping documentation, part numbers, certifications, and regulatory forms.
Qualifications
- Proficiency with ERP and inventory systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP).
- Strong working knowledge of FAA regulatory requirements for part handling, traceability, and documentation preferred.
- Experience within an MRO or aviation/aerospace environment.
- Familiarity with export compliance and international shipping documentation.
- Hazmat shipping certification (IATA, DOT) is a plus.
- Lean warehousing or continuous improvement.
- Forklift certification and experience with warehouse equipment.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines and attention to detail.
