Supervisor, Patient Accounting - Remote

Overview

Sentara Health is hiring a Supervisor, Patient Accounting to work full-time days with the billing and client services department in the consolidated lab.

Responsibilities

• Supervises assigned staff
• Manages day-to-day billing and collections (or reporting and audit) activities of assigned area
• Participates in strategic planning for the department
• Serves as a technical resource to team members, assisting with tasks as necessary
• Communicates effectively with supervisor, staff, patients, third‑party payors and others to resolve problems and/or concerns

Requirements

• High school education (required)
• Patient Financial Services experience – 2 years (required)
• Laboratory billing experience (required)
• Medical terminology (preferred)
• Customer service experience
• Data entry skills
• Epic Beaker experience (preferred)
