Client Accounting Services Supervisor (Remote)

Virtual, Technology-Forward CPA & Advisory Firm Location: Fully Remote (U.S. Based) Compensation: $85,000–$115,000 Base + Performance Bonus An established and growing virtual CPA and advisory firm is hiring an experienced Client Accounting Services Supervisor to join its fully remote team. The firm has built a modern, technology forward accounting practice serving privately held businesses, entrepreneurs, healthcare and professional service organizations, real estate clients, and high-net-worth individuals nationwide. The team provides outsourced accounting, financial reporting, payroll and ongoing advisory support. This role combines client portfolio management, accounting review and team leadership. You will remain involved in the accounting and client-facing work while reviewing the work of bookkeepers and staff accountants and serving as a technical resource for the accounting team. The firm’s continued growth provides a clear path into Manager-level and broader advisory responsibilities. It also places a strong emphasis on organized workflows, clear expectations and maintaining a reasonable work-life balance within its remote team. What You’ll Do Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of clientsReview month-end close, general ledger activity, account reconciliations and financial statementsReview the work of bookkeepers and staff accountants, ensuring client deliverables are accurate and timelySupervise, mentor and support the development of accounting team membersServe as a technical resource for complex accounting and reporting questionsManage client relationships through proactive communication and reliable serviceOversee payroll processing and reconciliations, including the resolution of payroll tax noticesImprove accounting workflows, documentation and internal controls while collaborating with the firm’s tax and advisory teams What We’re Looking For 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a CPA firm, CAS practice or outsourced accounting environmentStrong knowledge of full-cycle accounting, U.S. GAAP, month-end close and financial reportingExperience reviewing accounting work and supervising or mentoring accounting staffExperience managing multiple client relationships and competing deadlinesStrong QuickBooks Online experience, including reporting, reconciliations and month-end closeExperience with payroll processing, reconciliations and resolving payroll tax noticesStrong client communication, organization and problem-solving skillsQuickBooks ProAdvisor certification is preferred but not requiredCPA license or active progress toward the CPA is a plus Experience with Gusto, ADP, Bill.com, TaxDome or QuickBooks Desktop is a plus Compensation & Benefits $85,000–$115,000 base salaryPerformance based bonus opportunitiesFully remote work environmentUnlimited PTO401(k) with profit sharingMonthly technology and cell phone stipendCompany-provided equipmentProfessional development and training supportStrong opportunities to advance into Manager and broader advisory responsibilitiesSupportive culture with clear expectations and an emphasis on sustainable workloads We are also hiring for Client Accounting Services positions ranging from Senior through Senior Manager with multiple CPA and advisory firms nationwide.
