Project Accounting Supervisor *remote*

Kratos has an exciting opportunity in Colorado Springs, CO, for a Project Accounting Supervisor. The ideal candidate is an experienced individual with leadership abilities and a strong understanding of project accounting and ASC 606 Revenue Recognition guidelines.

About the role

This position involves oversight and support in billing, cash receipts, collections, bad debt management, project systemic setup, purchase order analysis, fair value analysis, revenue recognition, project cost analysis, deferred revenue, yearly tax binders, and financial statements and reporting. The role requires collaboration with multiple departments, including purchasing, contracts, project managers, executives, operations, and engineers to ensure accurate accounting on projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to a team of 3+ employees, including cross-training and professional development.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX guidelines, DCAA, and FAR regulations.
• Apply ASC 606 revenue recognition guidelines to purchase order accounting.
• Perform accounting system testing and report building.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• 7+ years of accounting/financial experience.
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Intermediate Excel experience (formulas, tables, pivot tables).
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Deltek Costpoint.
• Experience in project accounting or government contract accounting.

Pay

Competitive salary based on experience and education. Salary Range: $110,000–$120,000.
