The Financial Management Division (FMD) is responsible for preparing, analyzing, and managing the Department’s budget, maintaining accounting records and financial data, and liaising with the Department of Finance (DOF), Legislative Analyst’s Office (LAO), and the federal government on budget and fiscal matters.
FMD is located in downtown Sacramento in the East End Complex, across from the State Capitol Park and World Peace Rose Garden. Job Description and Duties
This position supports CDPH’s mission and strategic plan by performing critical and sensitive analytical and consultative work for the Financial Management Division (FMD), Infectious Disease, Emergency Response, and Environmental Health (ID, ER, & EH) Unit. The Supervisor I is responsible for overseeing a team of Budget Analysts in preparing and maintaining each division’s budget, analyzing budget change proposals, issue memos, legislation, and other proposals. They communicate with the Department of Finance and the Legislative Office on budgetary matters involving their assigned divisions.
- Oversee a team of Budget Analysts
- Analyze and verify complex analytical work
- Consult and coordinate with CDPH program and Financial Management Division staff
- Make recommendations to CDPH executive management
The incumbent works under the direction of the Supervisor II of the ID, ER, & EH Unit. The position is subject to the Personal Leave Program (PLP) 2025, which temporarily reduces monthly base pay in exchange for paid leave credits. The salary ranges shown do not reflect the salary reduction due to PLP 2025.
