About the role

The Supervisor Hearing and Speech at Main Campus Lowder Building provides direct and indirect patient care services and serves as a consultant to medical staff, ancillary staff, and the community. Responsibilities include supervising staff of the audiology and speech-language pathology program.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of pediatric audiology and/or speech language pathology
  • Ability to administer and interpret developmentally appropriate, comprehensive evaluations and communicate impressions and recommendations to referral sources and families
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in order to communicate with patients, caregivers, and referral sources
  • Positive interpersonal skills and ability to function in an interdisciplinary environment
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities; values diversity; is empathetic, supportive, flexible, a creative problem solver and an advocate; and possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Projects a strong belief in own ideas and abilities
  • Demonstrates excellent critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrates ability to translate concepts into actions
  • Demonstrates respect for confidentiality, professional code of ethics and patient bill of rights
  • Works effectively with individuals above, below, and beside

Qualifications

  • Basic Life Support
  • Licensed Speech and Language Pathologist
  • Masters Degree or Doctorate Degree
  • 3 Years job experience as Staff Level with specialization in the field of Audiology-Speech

Skills

  • Working knowledge of pediatric audiology and/or speech language pathology
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Educational background in audiology or speech language pathology

Pay

The salary range for this position is TBD based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

The work schedule is Full-time on the Day Shift, M-F 7:30am-4:00pm; occasional weekends.
