About the role
Under general supervision, supervises the activities of food service personnel engaged in the preparation and serving of meals. May occasionally have sole responsibility to open/close and supervise the food service department. This is a mixed (days/nights) shift schedule with rotational weekends.
Responsibilities
- Maintains or exceeds department standards for accuracy, cost, appearance, quality, and timeliness
- Demonstrates, understands, and practices safe food handling techniques, including dating/labeling, time/temperature measurements, and correcting critical control issues
- Demonstrates leadership, initiative, and creativity in working with food service employees to achieve daily goals and tasks
- Encourages a team-oriented environment that enhances productivity and morale and assigns staff to accomplish daily tasks and goals
- Corrects issues with food/equipment as quickly and appropriately as necessary to provide all customers with a quality product
- Completes all quality assurance and performance improvement projects accurately and in a timely manner
Requirements
- 2 years food service experience required
- Food Handlers permit or must obtain during the first two weeks of hire date
