Supervisor-Clinical Nursing, 7E

Assists in the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of the operations and patient care of designated areas. Serves as a clinical resource for staff and patients in the department. Functions as a staff nurse in the department as needed. Assumes managerial duties delegated by a manager. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with Mercy's mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate operations and patient care in designated areas.
• Serve as a clinical resource for staff and patients.
• Function as a staff nurse as needed.
• Assume managerial duties delegated by a manager.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following:
  • Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Nursing Diploma
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.
• 3-5 years of hospital nursing experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred.
• Prior management experience, including experience within change management.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties.

Schedule

Full-Time | 40 hours/week, Nights
