Summer Warehouse Assistant

About the role

Singer Kittredge Equipment Company is hiring a Summer Warehouse Assistant on a temporary employment status to join their warehouse team. The position involves receiving equipment and materials delivered by vendors, customers, and other external warehouses, properly and safely breaking down inbound freight in the mornings, assisting in loading outbound trucks, maintaining warehouse cleanliness, and performing administrative tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Receive and properly store equipment and materials delivered by vendors, customers, and other external warehouses.
• Break down inbound freight in the mornings and assist in sorting.
• Auxiliary loading of outbound trucks.
• Maintain warehouse safety certifications and attend safety training as required.
• Ensure the building grounds and warehouse are kept clean, safe, and orderly.
• Perform administrative tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs and push up to 100lbs.
• Clean driving record, valid driver's license, and successful completion of a DOT Medical and Physical Examination.
• Varying work schedule to accommodate delivery of products to customers (dayshift hours but may include early mornings and/or late evenings).
• Excellent customer service, time management, and communication skills.
• Basic mechanical aptitude, including the ability to use basic hand tools and power tools, climb ladders, etc.
• Ability to work well in a team environment with minimal supervision.
