About the role
The role of Substance Use Disorder Counselor involves providing individual and group counseling to support clients' recovery from addiction.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments, screenings, and referrals
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Deliver case management services
- Coordinate community services
- Ensure accurate clinical documentation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in supervision and training
Qualifications
- Valid Wisconsin SAC-IT, SAC, or CSAC credential
- Associate's degree in human services or related field (bachelor's preferred)
- Knowledge of addiction, recovery, counseling, and case management principles
Preferred
- Experience with justice-involved populations
- Valid driver's license
