About the role
Coach and grow sub-regional hygiene mentors while partnering with Operations to identify priority hygiene initiatives and incentives. Lead the business of hygiene in your sub-region, build a strong regional culture among hygienists, and prioritize focuses and oversee hygiene initiatives and incentives.
Responsibilities
- Practice clinical hygiene 16 hours per week
- Support the Regional Director of Operations by leading the business of hygiene in your sub-region
- Build and support a sub-regional hygiene mentor team
- Identify, build, and support hygiene initiatives and incentives
- Ensure each newly hired hygienist receives a world-class onboarding experience
- Collaborate with other RHMOs and hygiene leadership team
- Liaise between hygienists and operational business partners
- Maintain a high focus on managing patient periodontal health according to doctors' Treatment Plan for Predictability guidelines while growing the business of hygiene in the region
- Perform other projects as assigned
Requirements
- Current Heartland Dental supported hygienist
- Valid dental hygienist license in state of INSERT
- An Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in dental hygiene
- Excellent working knowledge of overall dentistry and dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening, and medical history documentation
- Able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing
- Able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times
- Available to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person once conditions allow)
Qualifications
- Mastery level proficiency in clinical skills to include Velscope or Vizilite Pro, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays, and electronic medical record systems
- Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients’ oral health
