Summary
The Institute for Professional Excellence (IPEx) is a corporate services division of Davenport University. We provide consulting services and open enrollment programs for non-degree seeking students. This position offers students exposure to various companies through training initiatives and involves performing tasks that support the department and its clients.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate on client projects such as event planning and corporate training programs
- Participate and offer recommendations during planning meetings
- Aid in procuring supplies necessary for training sessions
- Review and proofread client proposals, department marketing materials, and curriculum
- Learn and use multiple software programs including Salesforce, Articulate, Canva, Microsoft Suite, and Google Applications
- Research new outreach opportunities and complete other tasks as needed
- Work with DU internal departments, facilitators, and clients to coordinate logistical details for IPEx custom and open enrollment offerings
- Provide excellent customer service, anticipating and exceeding customer needs
- Demonstrate and promote the University Cultural Values
- Understand and adhere to all external and internal regulations and policies
Requirements
- Enrolled at least half-time (6 credits undergrad, 3 credits grad) at Davenport University
- Maintaining Standards of Academic Progress (SAP)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
- Demonstrated ability to work accurately and effectively with technology
- Flexible to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills when working with internal customers and corporate clients
- Operates with a high degree of integrity, ethics, and dedication to the mission of the University
Qualifications
- Work study eligibility (preferred)
