Student Biology Chemical Hygiene Assistant (CHA) AY’25-‘26

About the role

The Student Biology Chemical Hygiene Assistant (CHA) assists the Biology Department Manager with achieving & maintaining chemical hygiene protocol and records, which include (but are not limited to) semi-annual physical inventories of all Biology Department chemicals, maintaining inventory records, organizing chemicals into correct storage groups, maintaining SDS libraries, enforcing GHS standards.

Requirements

• Must be a La Sierra University student currently enrolled in the Fall 2026 quarter and maintain student status for the entire Academic Year
• Must be cleared and able to start work on or before September 23
• Must have completed either CHEM 281/L and 282/L with a grade of B or higher, or CHEM 111/L, 112/L, 113/L with a grade of B or higher within the last 3 years

Pay

Wage Range: $16.90 - $17.50/hr

Weekly estimated time requirement: 10 to 15 hours
