About the role

Position Summary The Biology Student Laboratory Teaching Assistant (TA2) assists the instructor with preparation & operation of laboratory classes whether in-person, virtual, or hybrid. The TA2 provides instruction during the laboratory. The TA2 may be called upon to assist with grading of laboratory assignments/quizzes and other clerical work related to the laboratory class experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the instructor with preparation and operation of laboratory classes (in‑person, virtual, or hybrid).
• Provide instruction during the laboratory.
• Assist with grading of laboratory assignments/quizzes and other clerical work related to the lab experience.

Requirements

• Have taken and passed the course they would TA for with a grade of “B” or higher.
• Be a La Sierra University student currently enrolled in the Fall 2026 quarter.
• Be cleared and able to start work on or before September 21.
• Have taken BIOL185/L or BIOL474/L within the last 4 years and passed with a grade of B or higher, or have served as a TA2 for either of these courses with full wet labs in the last 4 years.

Pay

Wage Range: $16.90 - $17.50/hr
