About the role
Join Goodwill’s Retail Leadership Team and play a key role in driving excellent customer service, supporting store operations, and developing a positive, mission-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead by example and support a culture of world-class customer service.
- Assist with daily store operations including opening/closing, cash handling, and reporting.
- Support and train team members in areas like customer service, merchandising, donation flow, pricing, and safety.
- Ensure clean, organized, safe store conditions while maintaining inventory flow and product rotation.
- Maintain accurate production counts, donor tracking, and department-specific goals.
- Provide positive, mission-driven leadership to create a motivating and inclusive environment.
- Step into keyholder, department lead, or management support responsibilities based on store need.
Requirements
- Previous retail experience; leadership experience preferred (not required for all roles).
- Strong communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead by example while supporting a team-oriented environment.
- Basic computer skills and comfort learning POS and reporting tools.
- Ability to stand, bend, lift 25–40 lbs depending on role.
- Reliable transportation.
- PREFERRED: Open availability; must be willing to work evenings and weekends as business needs require.
