Store Manager Candidate

About the role

The Store Manager Candidate supports store operations by assisting in employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service. This role serves as a developmental step towards becoming a Store Manager, with responsibilities to ensure store efficiency and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting, hiring, and training staff.
• Participate in merchandise staging, stocking, and presentation according to company standards.
• Support inventory management, including damages, markdowns, and stock counts.
• Ensure proper ordering to maintain in-stock levels.
• Deliver excellent customer service and act as a role model for store policies and procedures.
• Participate in store opening and closing activities, safeguard funds, and uphold security protocols.
• Maintain a clean, safe store environment and operate store functions in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Analyze sales, labor, and inventory data to identify business trends and opportunities.
• Complete required documentation timely and accurately.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret operational documents and perform basic math calculations.
• Knowledge of cash handling, inventory practices, and safety controls.
• Preferred: Bilingual in Spanish; high school diploma or equivalent; retail experience.

Physical & Working Conditions

Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 55 pounds, and occasional climbing or driving. Fast-paced environment with moderate noise, sometimes exposed to outside weather.
