Store Manager Candidate

Role Overview The Store Manager Candidate supports the Store Manager in executing store operations, including employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, stocking, and store needs. This role is designed to develop external candidates for the Store Manager position. Key Responsibilities Assist with recruiting, staffing, and merchandising activities.Support inventory management, including damages, markdowns, and stock levels.Ensure excellent customer service and uphold company policies.Participate in opening and closing store activities and manage store security and cash handling procedures.Maintain a clean, safe environment and operate the store in the absence of the manager.Analyze sales, labor, and inventory data to identify trends and opportunities.Complete required documentation accurately and timely. Qualifications & Skills Ability to interpret documents, perform mathematical calculations, and learn cash register functions.Knowledge of inventory, merchandising, cash handling, and safety policies.Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.Problem-solving abilities and legal compliance knowledge in hiring practices.Preferred high school diploma and retail experience.Bilingual skills may be a plus. Physical & Working Conditions Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 55 pounds.Use of equipment like scanners, carts, and ladders.Fast-paced environment with moderate noise, occasional outdoor exposure, and limited travel. This position emphasizes leadership development, operational support, and excellent customer service in a retail setting.
