About the role

Responsible for managing store operations, staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations to ensure efficient daily store functions.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, select, and retain qualified employees; ensure proper staffing levels.
  • Provide training, conduct performance reviews, and address gaps or disciplinary issues.
  • Make recommendations on employee pay and advancement.
  • Communicate expectations on performance, conduct, and safety; lead regular meetings.
  • Open and close the store as needed; evaluate sales, profitability, and inventory trends.
  • Manage inventory levels, ordering, and presentation; ensure merchandise is stocked and displayed per standards.
  • Maintain store security, cash handling integrity, and safety protocols.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
  • Complete all documentation accurately and timely.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Ability to interpret manuals and perform basic math.
  • Knowledge of cash handling, inventory management, and merchandising.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in recruiting, hiring, and managing staff with legal compliance awareness.
  • Bilingual skills may be preferred at some locations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Management experience in retail is a plus.
  • Physical ability to walk, stand, lift up to 55 pounds, and perform manual tasks frequently.
  • Ability to operate equipment and drive as needed.
