About the role

Responsible for managing store operations, including staffing, training, inventory, merchandising, and customer service to ensure smooth daily functioning.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, hire, train, evaluate, and retain qualified employees in compliance with laws and policies.
  • Communicate performance expectations, conduct safety and policy meetings, and support employee development.
  • Oversee store opening and closing, ensuring proper staffing and operational procedures.
  • Analyze financial statements to identify trends, control expenses, and optimize profitability.
  • Manage inventory levels through ordering, stock presentation, and cycle counts.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and financial controls, including cash handling and security protocols.
  • Lead customer service efforts, ensuring a clean, organized, and safe shopping environment.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and paperwork documentation.

Requirements

  • Ability to interpret operational documents, perform basic math, and handle cash procedures.
  • Knowledge of inventory management, merchandising, and safety practices.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in retail management preferred; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Good physical stamina, including frequent standing, bending, lifting up to 55 lbs., and occasional outdoor conditions.
