Store Manager - Full Time

About the role

Responsible for managing store operations, including staffing, training, inventory control, merchandising, and customer service to ensure effective store performance.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select, train, and evaluate employees, ensuring proper staffing and compliance with labor laws.
• Communicate performance expectations, conduct evaluations, and address performance issues or terminations.
• Manage store opening and closing procedures, including personally opening or closing the store as needed.
• Analyze operating statements to identify trends, control expenses, and prevent shrinkage.
• Oversee inventory management, ordering, and replenishment to meet stock targets.
• Ensure merchandise presentation aligns with company standards, including pricing and signage.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels and safeguard financial integrity through cash handling and security procedures.
• Lead customer service efforts, maintaining a clean, safe, and organized store environment.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards, completing necessary documentation timely.

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to interpret operational documents and perform basic math calculations.
• Knowledge of cash handling, inventory management, and merchandising practices.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in recruiting, hiring, and managing staff with legal compliance awareness.
• Organizational skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Preference for bilingual (Spanish) speakers in certain locations.

Ideal Background

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Management experience in retail is advantageous.

Physical & Working Conditions

• Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 55 pounds.
• Use of equipment like scanners, pricing guns, and carts.
• Occasional climbing and outdoor exposure.
• Fast-paced environment with moderate noise levels.
