Store Manager - Full Time

Role Overview

Responsible for managing store operations, staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations. Ensures effective implementation of processes including ordering, stocking, presentation, and customer service. Maintains inventory accuracy, controls expenses, and monitors sales trends to maximize profitability. Leads safety and security initiatives, ensures compliance with policies, and fosters a positive team environment. Personally opens and closes the store as needed, and maintains a clean, organized, and safe shopping environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, and retain qualified employees according to laws and policies.
• Conduct performance evaluations and address performance or conduct issues.
• Manage inventory levels, ordering plans, and merchandise presentation.
• Monitor financial performance, control shrink, and ensure cash handling accuracy.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain store cleanliness and safety.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, documentation, and safety procedures.

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to interpret documents, perform mathematical calculations, and handle cash procedures.
• Knowledge of inventory management, merchandising, and safety practices.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent; management experience in retail is a plus.
• Bilingual skills may be preferred in some locations.

Physical & Work Environment

• Frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting (up to 55 lbs), and occasional climbing.
• Fast-paced environment with exposure to outside weather conditions.
• Travel for bank deposits and meetings may be required.
