Store Manager - Full-Time

Role Overview

Responsible for managing store operations, employee recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and staffing to ensure effective store processes including ordering, stocking, presentation, and sales.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit, select, train, and retain qualified staff, ensuring proper staffing levels and compliance with labor laws.
• Conduct performance evaluations, address performance gaps, and recommend pay adjustments and promotions.
• Manage store opening and closing, ensuring safety, security, and operational efficiency.
• Analyze financial statements to identify business trends, control expenses, and reduce shrinkage.
• Oversee inventory management, ordering, merchandising presentation, and stock levels.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, cash handling, and security procedures.
• Lead customer service efforts, maintain a clean and safe store environment, and ensure compliance with policies.
• Complete administrative documentation accurately and timely.

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to interpret documents, perform mathematical calculations, and handle cash procedures.
• Knowledge of inventory, merchandising, and retail practices.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience in recruiting, hiring, and counseling employees; familiarity with safety and security policies.
• Bilingual skills may be preferred for some locations.

Experience & Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail management experience is a plus.

Physical & Working Conditions

• Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 40–55 pounds.
• Occasional climbing and driving.
• Fast‑paced environment with moderate noise and exposure to weather conditions.
