Store Manager - Full Time

About the role

The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing all store operations, including staffing, training, inventory management, and maintaining sales performance. They ensure proper store opening and closing, manage employee performance and development, and uphold safety and security standards.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, and retain qualified staff in compliance with laws and policies.
• Evaluate employee performance, conduct counseling, and recommend pay and advancement opportunities.
• Communicate expectations, conduct safety meetings, and foster a positive work environment.
• Manage store opening/closing, analyze financial statements, and identify business trends.
• Order merchandise to meet in-stock targets, ensure effective merchandising, and control inventory levels.
• Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and safety; ensure adequate tools and equipment are available.
• Ensure cash handling accuracy, security, and adherence to cash control procedures.
• Deliver excellent customer service and promote a secure shopping environment.
• Complete all administrative tasks and documentation timely and accurately.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Management experience in retail is advantageous.

Skills

• Ability to interpret documents, perform mathematical calculations, and handle cash procedures.
• Knowledge of inventory, merchandising, and retail operations.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in recruiting, staff development, and legal compliance.
• Bilingual skills may be preferred.

• Physical ability to stand, lift up to 55 pounds, and perform store duties in a fast-paced environment.
