Store Manager - Full Time

About the role

Responsible for managing all store operations, including staffing, training, inventory, sales, and customer service to ensure smooth daily functioning and adherence to company policies.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, evaluate, and retain qualified employees, ensuring proper staffing and compliance with labor laws.
• Provide performance feedback, conduct evaluations, and address performance or conduct issues, including terminations if necessary.
• Make recommendations on employee pay and advancement.
• Ensure effective store opening and closing, including personal involvement in these processes.
• Analyze operating statements to identify business trends, control expenses, and prevent shrinkage.
• Manage inventory levels, oversee ordering, stocking, presentation, and merchandise displays.
• Maintain security and cash procedures, ensuring cashier accountability and adherence to safety policies.
• Lead customer service initiatives and foster a clean, safe, and organized shopping environment.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and complete necessary documentation accurately and timely.

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong understanding of retail operations, inventory management, and merchandising practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to interpret documents, perform mathematical calculations, and handle cash procedures.
• Experience in recruiting, coaching, and managing staff with knowledge of legal compliance.
• Preferred high school diploma or equivalent; management experience in retail is advantageous.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 55 pounds, and perform routine store tasks.
