Store Manager - Full Time

About the role

This position involves managing store operations, including staffing, training, inventory, merchandising, and customer service, to ensure smooth daily functioning and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, evaluate, and retain qualified employees in compliance with laws and policies.
• Communicate performance expectations and conduct regular performance reviews.
• Oversee store opening and closing procedures, ensuring proper staffing and security.
• Analyze financial and operational data to identify business trends and opportunities for expense control.
• Manage inventory levels through ordering, cycle counts, and stock presentation.
• Ensure merchandise presentation aligns with company standards, including signage and pricing.
• Maintain accurate inventory and ensure cashier accountability and cash control procedures.
• Lead customer service initiatives, promote a clean and safe store environment, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Complete necessary documentation and ensure store tools and equipment are maintained.

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to interpret documents, perform mathematical calculations, and use cash handling procedures.
• Knowledge of inventory management, merchandising, and retail operations.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in recruiting, hiring, counseling, and termination practices, with legal compliance awareness.
• Bilingual skills may be preferred depending on location.

Work Experience & Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; management experience in retail is advantageous.

Physical & Working Conditions

Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 40-55 pounds; occasional climbing and outdoor exposure; fast-paced environment with moderate noise levels.
