Store Manager - Full Time

About the role

Responsible for managing store operations, including staffing, training, inventory control, merchandising, and customer service to ensure store efficiency and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select, train, evaluate, and retain employees, ensuring proper staffing and compliance with laws and policies.
• Lead store opening and closing procedures, maintain safety, security, and store presentation standards.
• Analyze operating statements to identify sales trends, control expenses, and prevent shrinkage.
• Manage inventory through ordering, stocking, cycle counts, and merchandise presentation.
• Maintain financial integrity via cashier accountability, cash control, and security protocols.
• Provide excellent customer service and foster a clean, safe shopping environment.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, documentation, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret operational documents, perform math calculations, and handle cash procedures.
• Knowledge of inventory management, merchandising, and safety practices.
• Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent; management experience in retail is advantageous.

Skills

• Effective communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Some locations may prefer bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish).

Requirements

• Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 40-55 pounds.
• Use of merchandising tools and occasional ladder use.
• Fast-paced environment with exposure to weather conditions and noise.
• Regular use of transportation for store-related tasks.
