Store Manager - Full Time

About the role

This position involves managing store operations, including staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations. The manager ensures effective implementation of processes such as ordering, stocking, merchandising, and customer service to meet sales and inventory targets.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, and retain qualified employees while ensuring adherence to labor laws and company policies.
• Conduct performance reviews, provide counseling, and recommend pay adjustments and promotions.
• Maintain store staffing, open and close the store as needed, and promote a safe, organized, and customer-focused environment.
• Analyze operating statements to identify trends, control expenses, and manage inventory, including ordering and cycle counts.
• Ensure merchandise presentation aligns with company standards, control damages, markdowns, and inventory accuracy.
• Uphold financial integrity through cashier accountability, cash handling, and security procedures.
• Lead customer service initiatives, maintain store cleanliness, and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Complete all required documentation and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to interpret manuals, safety rules, and operating instructions.
• Strong math skills and knowledge of cash handling and inventory management.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Experience with recruiting, hiring, and legal compliance.
• Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish) may be preferred at some locations.

Experience & Education

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with at least one year of retail management experience being advantageous.

Physical & Working Conditions

• Frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting (up to 55 lbs), and occasional climbing.
